Local SEASONAL INGREDIENTS

Mur Mur’s concept is based on the authenticity of Mexican cuisine. Focusing only in the resources offered by the Yucatan Peninsula and turning them into original and provocative dishes. With a deep respect for the environment and for the roots that identify the region, we looked for the best local providers and decided that the dishes offered will be seasonal, taking what nature and the environment can lend us at that specific moment.

We are going back to basics by using the least amount of technology needed for our food cooking.

The Chef

Diego Hernández Baquedano
Ensenada Baja California, 1983.


In 2011 Diego was named by Travel and Leisure one of the rising stars of Mexican cuisine. In 2012 his restaurant “Corazón de Tierra” won the award for best hotel restaurant in Mexico. In 2013 and 2014 it was ranked as one of the top 50 best restaurants in Latin America by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy. Now, he concentrates his efforts on developing the concept of Mur Mur, matching his philosophy of sustainability and creativity with the rest of the partners.

Our Concept is based upon seizing the best of the ingredients that Yucatan and the Caribbean Seas offer. We pride ourselves on our intimate knowledge of this region's amazing produce; allowing us to deliver its finest seasonal delicacies all year round.
